Requirements for Home Inspectors in South Carolina

PHII is approved to provide the required education for home inspectors in South Carolina.
To become licensed, home inspectors must choose one of these two paths:
Education Path
1.) Complete an approved training course (such as ours)
2.) Submit application and fee
3.) Successfully pass the state exam
Experience Path (does not require our training)
1.) 1 year under direct supervision of a licensed home inspector (residential builder, general contractor, engineer, or architect)
2.) Complete at least 50 residential inspections
3.) Submit application and fee
4.) Successfully pass the state exam
