Louisiana / Home Inspection Certification/License Requirements
Requirements for Home Inspectors in Louisiana

PHII is approved to provide the required home inspector education for Louisiana. Our online course is approved for the 90 hours of education required by the LA state licensing board.
To become licensed, home inspectors must:
1.) Complete approved training course
2.) Complete the in-field training from A Board approved In-Field Training Provider, (
Approved providers may be found on the state website HERE)
3.) Completed high school or equivalent
4.) Successfully pass the NHIE
5.) Submit Application and Fee
Once the student has enrolled our system:
1.Send the student our Student Enrollment Contract-

2.The student is required to sign and return the contract.
3.Upon receiving the signed contract back, the course administrator(Robb) will sign and file it in the studentâs record.
4.A copy of the completed contract will be mailed to the student.
5.PHII also asks an âAcademic Integrity Statementâ to be completed and returned with the course evaluation at the end of the course.
