Requirements for Home Inspectors in Delaware

Home Inspection is a licensed profession in Delaware.
DE requires training be approved by ASHI, NAHI, or InterNACHI. PHII's training meets this requirement.
To become licensed, home inspectors must:
Licensure as a Home Inspector by Examination
1.) Registered as a Delaware Home Inspector Trainee.
2.) Completed 125 supervised home inspections.
3.) Complete the 140 hours of training approved by ASHI, NAHI, or InterNACHI
4.) Successfully pass the NHIE
5.) Submit Application for Licensed Home Inspector by Examination and Fee
**Before applying as a Home Inspector by examination, you must register as a Home Inspector Trainee and complete 125 supervised home inspections in Delaware.

Home Inspection Certification/License Information for DelawareWe have a 6 day live training program which will meet the requirements of home inspection in your state. We send you our home study materials so you can prepare for the course ahead of time, and when you arrive, our instructor Dave Kemper, who has performed over 5000 inspections will provide you hands on learning for home inspection.
You will need to arrive on Sunday night, classes start on Monday morning, and go through Saturday. You can get flights out, or drive out on Saturday night. We have local bed and breakfast hotels for $45 per night, or hotels for $30 to $100 per night.
As mentioned, you will receive all the materials for the interactive computer training, which is our popular home study course, and those materials are yours to keep, for future reference for the course.
