Connecticut / Home Inspection Certification/License Requirements
Requirements for Home Inspectors in Connecticut

PHII is approved to provide the required education. Our online course is approved in CT.
First, you must obtain your Home Inspector Intern Permit and then complete the supervised home inspections (to become licensed).
Home Inspector Intern Permit:
1.) Successfully completed high school or its equivalent
2.) Successfully complete board-approved training
3.) Identify a supervisor (must be licensed home inspector)
4.) Submit application and fee
Home Inspector License:
1.) Earned a Home Inspector Intern Permit and
1a: Perform 10 inspections under a supervisor
1b. Perform additional 90 inspections that have been signed off on by a supervisor. This gives the student 100 total inspections.
2.) Successfully passed written exam
3.) Submit application and fee of forty dollars ($40.00) and a license fee of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00)
