Texas Mold Inspection / Remediation Info
Exemption for mold related activities/remdeiation: If you are in the process of constructing or improving a one or two family dwelling, you are exempt from the Texas mold licensing requirements. This is regardless of the total surface area of mold contaminated material.
Texas Department of State Health Services is responsible for enforcing the state's mold licensing law. We are not approved for prelicense training. Our training can be beneficial to contractors with the understanding that it is not credit towards a Texas mold remediator license.
TX has very stringent requirements for mold inspection, which require several years of schooling in mold and or bacteria. Our 90 hour course is not approved. We are not seeking approval.
